Topic: Back to Basics: Refresh Your Python Skills
Is the yearly dilemma back again? The new academic year starts and we’ve forgotten the basics of a skill that felt natural before. Has this happened with your Python programming? No problem! In this session, we’ll refresh your Python skills and give you a good start to the academic year.
On 10 November, we will cover the technical basics (basic syntax, how to run scripts, and how to install and load packages) and core Python concepts (data types, lists, sets, dictionaries, basic operations, control flow, loops) to help you start working with data.
The second part of the Café is designed to help you with your projects! Any questions in regard to how to use the learned knowledge for your own code? Struggling with a bug? Need some brainstorming with colleagues? We got your back!
I do not know how to program in Python, can I still join?
Have you never programmed in Python but do have experience with other programming languages?
- Then this refresher session might be the perfect opportunity to get started with Python.
Have you never programmed in Python or any other language before?
- You’re welcome to join and get a first look at Python, but we recommend that you also follow one of our introductory Python courses.
