Join us for more programming!
We will host our next Programming Café on 12th of May at 11:00 (until 13:00).
JASP – Discover the Open-Source Alternative to SPSS
Have you ever wondered how to perform statistics once your SPSS student or employee license is no longer available? Or are you simply looking for an open-source alternative? Perhaps you are just starting out and searching for a tool to help with your statistics? No matter the case, today is the perfect day to start exploring your options!
In the first part of this Café session, we will dive into JASP, an open-source alternative to SPSS. You will learn what JASP is, why it was developed, and how it can support your research. We will cover how to enter and import data into JASP, perform simple computations (e.g., calculating averages and medians), explore correlations and causality, and visualize your results.
In the second part, you will have the opportunity to apply what you have learned. Are you facing a challenge or looking for new ideas? Bring your code, any issues you are encountering, or your project concepts, and receive practical assistance from EUR’s Research Software trainers.
